The War on Childhood Poverty

Did you know that nearly half of the children living in Cincinnati fall below the poverty line? This has been true for a number of years now, and I think it’s time that we take a firm stance on doing whatever we can to strengthen our communities and ensure that these children have everything they need to succeed.

As a champion of children everywhere, I want to foster a message of hope for these kids and make sure that they have adequate housing, food, and developmental resources.

I want to thank the citizens of Cincinnati for their part in making us one of the most giving city in America. Last year alone, 88% of Cincinnati adults contributed to charity in one form or another. Your charity does not go unnoticed. I want to make sure that there’s follow-through to your dedication both in terms of service and resources.
