Justice Reform

It’s time to face the facts: We’re wasting too much money harboring non-violent, repeat offenders in prison instead of having them put back into the community. I don’t want to see more fines for low-level offenders, I want to see them invest back into the community through community service-based projects that target blighted areas and assist in the beautification of our city.

To do this, I will work with and assemble a coalition of local community leaders and target areas that decrease property values and do whatever I can to ensure that those low-level offenders are always given the option to give back to the community rather than take fines that they may have a difficult time in paying back. This makes sense for reasons that are both community-centric and economically responsible.
